Codex of the Cosmari
Beautiful and enigmatic, the Cosmari are a race of cosmic sea monsters have existed since memory began. In the deepest reaches of space, they live in matriarchal societies far beyond the sight of those bound to atmospheres. No matter the circumstances, no matter the location, no matter the foe, the Cosmari survive.
Codex of Coalition
In Known Space, the Coalition of Free Peoples is a young faction, scarcely a century old. Yet, they have taken the lessons of failed governments, along with observation of their bellicose neighbors, the Corporate Capitalist Alliance and the Royal League of Nobles, to build a society that works for the people from the ground up. The populace, comprised of countless Animalis species, work together to ensure that the Coalition will outlast the ambitions of those who would see it crumble.
Codex of the Messengers
The Messengers, cryptic and ancient eldritch angels, lead those who would follow their lead, the Seekers, to truth and to history to ensure that it is not forgotten. Capable of witnessing the strands of causality, the Seekers maneuver through Known Space, attempting to collect and spread history through oral and psychic traditions, working within communities large and small to build up civilization and culture. Despite this, they must be careful of those who covet or despise their insight, for those in power would see it despoiled for selfish ends, so, they make alliances where and however they must.
